Myra was a city of Lycia dating back to the 5th century BC. Today the archaeological site is preserved on the current town that now bears the name of Demre.

Myra The site includes an important necropolis that consists of rock tombs drilled into the cliff. But also an important well-preserved Roman theater. He was also destroyed and rebuilt after an earthquake by the Romans in about the year 140.
