The Perge archaeological site is located to the east of Antalya. Built 1000 years before J-C, and integrated the Roman Empire about the year 130 before J-C. Between the 2nd and 3rd century, it was one of the most beautiful cities in Anatolia. In the 7th century, the city gradually emptied of its inhabitants and was abandoned, mainly because of Arab incursions of that time.
