Day 9 :

This morning in Hanoi is full sun. From our hotel, we start walking towards the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Ba Dinh Square. This is where rests the founder of the Republic of Vietnam, who died in 1969. But his work has started in 1973, to be inaugurated in 1975. We have the right to replacement of the guard, a ritual orchestrated by soldiers dressed in white. Not far from the mausoleum, museum. Continuing on the Hung Vuong Avenue, the Presidential Palace.

The peculiarity of Hanoi, is that there are lakes throughout the city. Continuing along this road, and taking the Thanh Nien, The Tran Quoc pagoda situated on the island of West Lake built in 6ᵉ century, during the reign of Ly Nam De, rebuilt in 17ᵉ century, renovated in 1815, c is the oldest pagoda in Hanoi.

In the afternoon, visit the Literature Palace, Pagoda Turtle and discovery of water puppet show. Ice cream rice and beans too.

After this busy day management of the Hanoi railway station to catch our train that will take us all night in the bunks to the city of Hue in central Vietnam. We come on board and I find very comfortable berths.
